Golden Retriever
When he began showing signs of joint stiffness, I searched for a bed that would genuinely support his comfort and recovery. After too many disappointing options, I decided to create one myself — and that's how Nestory Pets was born.
Where It Began
My golden retriever, Beau, started slowing down around his sixth birthday.
It was subtle at first. He'd take longer to get up in the mornings. He'd circle his bed over and over before carefully lowering himself down, like he was dreading the landing. Some mornings he'd skip it entirely and sleep on the hardwood floor instead.
The vet confirmed what I already suspected — joint stiffness, early arthritis. She told me rest and proper support were essential. So I went looking for a bed that could actually help.
I bought three different ones over the next few months. Each one looked promising online. Each one disappointed in person — thin foam that compressed within weeks, covers that pilled and shed, shapes that shifted and bunched. One cost nearly $120. Beau stopped using it within a month.
Watching him avoid the one thing meant to help him rest was hard. These animals give us everything. They trust us completely. They can't tell us when something isn't working.
That's when I decided to stop looking and start building.
What We Focus On
Nestory Pets exists because of Beau — and because of every dog like him whose owner has felt that same frustration.
We make one product. We're not trying to be everything. We'd rather spend that energy making sure the one thing we make is genuinely worth it — the materials, the support, the durability, the design. Every detail considered. Nothing wasted.
A dog bed is part of your home and part of your dog's daily life. It should be both beautiful and dependable — something that earns its place in your space and actually helps your dog rest.
